Amateur Radio DXpeditions & DXing

I'm an amateur radio operator with a passion for DXpeditions, adventure, and connecting with fellow hams around the world. This site documents my DXpeditions and rare-entity activations, including Mauritius (3B8), Rodrigues (3B9), Seychelles (S79) and Åland Islands (OH0). Follow my journey through exotic locations and rare contacts. Currently, due to health and professional reasons, I am unable to continue my Paradise on Air Missions. I hope to return on air from exotic locations soon.

Amateur Radio Timeline

  • 1980: My journey into amateur radio began as a shortwave listener in Germany (GDR).
  • 1984: I earned my first license under the callsign Y59UF.
  • 1986: I began operating as Y66YF.
  • 1993: Following German reunification, I was assigned my current callsign DL6UAA.
  • 1994: Launch of my Paradise On Air Mission project, combining travel with DXpedition activity.

Since then, amateur radio has been a constant part of my life and passion, with a special focus on DXing and Contesting since 1986.
